Picture this: mist rising off Mt. LeConte as you sip coffee on the deck, the Smokies spread out like they were painted for this morning. By afternoon you’re sinking into the hot tub while the ridgeline turns gold. By night, fireworks over Pigeon Forge burst right above the treeline — no crowd, no parking lot, just your own private view. This is Astra Lux, a brand-new 2025-built cabin made for groups who want mountain magic without giving up comfort.
Astra Lux is a 3,187-square-foot cabin built in 2025, sleeping up to 12 guests across five bedrooms and a loft. Every detail here is new — the tile, the fixtures, the furniture. Nothing worn, nothing dated.
The great room is where everyone gravitates. Soaring tongue-and-groove ceilings and a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows pull the mountains inside, and an electric fireplace keeps things warm on cool evenings.
The kitchen is built for real cooking: stainless-steel appliances, a full-size range, dishwasher, a pantry with counter space, and both a Keurig and a drip coffee maker. Gather eight around the farmhouse dining table or pull up a stool at the island bar.
Upstairs, the game loft turns the trip into a story you’ll tell for years — a wet bar, mini fridge, shuffleboard table, and a second electric fireplace, all under a huge picture window.
Sleeping arrangements:
– Primary Suite (main level): king bed, ensuite bath with a custom tile walk-in shower, walk-in closet, smart TV
– Bedroom 2 (upper level): king bed, private bath, smart TV
– Bedroom 3 (upper level): queen bed, private bath, smart TV
– Bedroom 4 (upper level): twin-over-full bunk plus a trundle, smart TV
– Loft (upper level): queen bed, reading chair, oversized picture window
Three full bathrooms and a half bath serve the group, including double vanities upstairs.
Outside, two full decks give you options: the lower deck holds the private hot tub, while the upper deck is set with rocking chairs and a dining table for sunset dinners. A covered front porch adds one more place to sit and do nothing.
Bring the dog — Astra Lux is pet-friendly. A full-size washer and dryer means you can pack light, and fast Starlink internet keeps everyone connected.
– Extended families chasing a reunion: five sleeping areas across three levels mean grandparents get the quiet primary suite while cousins take the bunk room and loft, then everyone regroups in the great room or on the deck.
– Multi-generational Dollywood trips: seven minutes from the gates, so nobody loses half a vacation day to driving.
– Groups of friends who want a basecamp: the game loft, shuffleboard, and wet bar turn a rainy afternoon into the best part of the trip.
– Remote workers tacking on extra days: fast Starlink internet and laptop-friendly spots cover a morning of emails before the Parkway.
– Dog owners who don’t want to leave family behind: Astra Lux is pet-friendly.
If your group is two or four people looking for something small and cozy, this probably isn’t it — Astra Lux shines when there are enough people to fill the bedrooms.
